the RI set at 1.30 is basically the price they think the public might pay and the price they’d settle for if no one buys it.

Nothing is fixed yet, Vin. Bursa approval, EGM approval and then issue price, entitlement date/price fixing date, etc... If the RI is at 1.30, that means the TERP price is 25% to 30% higher above 1.30 which is around 1.75 to 1.80. And if market price moves to 2.00, that means market is optimistic with the 1.25bil funding probably.

很多人认为价值投资就是买入低于内在价值的股票。但实际上，市场价格和企业内在价值可以长期出现很大的差距。

以肯听为例，根据我的模型估算的内在价值，与历史平均股价比较如下：

2017年：平均股价 RM9.24 vs 内在价值 RM7.79。市场价格高于估值，代表投资者当时愿意给予公司一定溢价。

2018年：平均股价 RM8.23 vs 内在价值 RM7.56。市场价格仍略高于估值，市场对公司的未来表现保持一定信心。

2019年：平均股价 RM6.38 vs 内在价值 RM7.47。股价开始低于估计内在价值，市场开始给予一定折价。

2020年：平均股价 RM4.14 vs 内在价值 RM5.63。股价大幅低于估值，市场因为疫情、经营不确定性和恐慌情绪给予很大的折扣。

2021年：平均股价 RM4.81 vs 内在价值 RM2.10。股价反而高于估值，显示市场开始提前反映复苏预期。

2022年：平均股价 RM4.54 vs 内在价值 RM3.08。市场价格仍高于估值，说明投资者愿意为未来改善支付更高价格。

2023年：平均股价 RM4.42 vs 内在价值 RM6.05。股价再次低于估值，出现价值差距。

2024年：平均股价 RM4.40 vs 内在价值 RM6.42。市场价格继续低于估值，折价进一步扩大。

2025年：平均股价 RM3.20 vs 内在价值 RM4.87。市场价格约低于估计内在价值，市场仍然给予较大的折扣。

最新：平均股价 RM2.85 vs 内在价值 RM2.25。根据较保守假设，市场价格已经高于估值。

重点是：股价和价值并不会永远同步。

很多人看到一个资产价值 RM100 万，就认为自己用 RM50 万买到就是赚。但问题是，当市场陷入恐慌时，这个资产可能只能以 RM30 万出售，甚至找不到买家。

股票也是一样。账面上的价值不一定等于真正可以实现的价值。

价值投资不是简单寻找“便宜”的股票，而是寻找那些内在价值真实存在、资产质量可靠，并且未来有机会被市场重新认识的企业。

Teo Eng Siong retired as a non-independent, non-executive director of Genting Malaysia on 10 June 2026. Dato’ Sri Lee Choong Yan retired as Senior Advisor and Executive Director on 30 April 2026, before continuing as a non-independent, non-executive director from 1 May 2026.

Meanwhile, the prospect of a rights issue is bearish for existing shareholders, as it raises concerns about funding needs, potential dilution, and whether the group can generate sufficient cash flow to support its recovery. A rights issue is not necessarily negative if the proceeds create sustainable value, but shareholders deserve a clear explanation of why additional capital is needed and how it will be used.

The board must address concerns over financial performance, major investments, and shareholder value. Genuinely independent oversight and a special independent review of significant investments and financial commitments should be considered to restore investor confidence.
