Tenaga Nasional Berhad ("TNB") through its wholly owned subsidiary, TNB Power Generation Sdn. Bhd. (“TNB Genco” or "the Company") wishes to announce that the Company has received three (3) Letters of Notification ("LON") on Technical and Commercial Terms from the Energy Commission ("EC"), confirming TNB Genco as the Successful Bidder under the Request for Proposal for New Generation Capacity in Year 2025 to 2029 for Peninsular Malaysia (Category 1) competitive bid conducted by EC, with respective Commercial Operation Date (“COD”), for the following power plants:

(i) Stesen Janakuasa Gelugor, Capacity 310MW (COD: 1 January 2027 until 31 December 2029);

(ii) Stesen Janakuasa Putrajaya, Capacity 249MW (COD: 1 January 2027 until 31 December 2029); and

(iii) Stesen Janakuasa Tuanku Ja’afar PD1, Capacity 703MW (COD: 1 September 2028 until 31 December 2029).

The extension is expected to be earnings accretive to TNB Genco upon respective COD of the power plants. The extension will not have any material effect on TNB's consolidated net assets per share and to TNB gearing position.

The LONs confirm TNB Genco’s selection as Successful Bidder, subject always to the fulfilment of stipulated terms and conditions, including execution of the respective Power Purchase Agreements.

TNB Genco has fulfilled all applicable requirements stipulated in the LON as at the date of this announcement.
