The Board of Directors of Sarawak Cable Berhad (Interim Judicial Manager Appointed) ("the Company") wishes to announce that the Directors of the Company, in exercising their residual powers, have placed Mr. Khoo Siew Kiat and Goh Hua Yang Eddie, the appointed Liquidators of Leader Cable Industry Berhad (“LCIB”) on notice that the Directors intend to commence legal proceeding(s) against them (and other participating parties) for their wilful negligence and conduct in the potential disposal of the assets of LCIB (inclusive of injunctive relief if required) (“Disposal”). The Liquidators were appointed by the Court on 15 May 2024.

The potential Disposal has been conducted in a manner that is prejudicial to the interests of the Company.

Details of their wrongful actions will be stated by the appointed counsel once the suit is filed. 

The Company will make further announcements as and when there is any material development in relation thereto.

NOTICE: The affairs, business and property of the Company are being managed by the Interim Judicial Manager appointed by the High Court of Malaya. The Interim Judicial Manager contracts and acts as an agent of the Company and disclaims any personal liability under any contract entered into by the Company which has been adopted by the Interim Judicial Manager and any contract entered into by the Interim Judicial Manager on behalf of the Company.
