For consistency purposes, the abbreviations used throughout this announcement shall have the same meanings as defined in the circular to shareholders of the Company dated 10 July 2026 in relation to the Proposed SCR, where applicable, unless stated otherwise or defined herein.

Reference is made to the Company's announcements dated 22 May 2026, 3 June 2026, 5 June 2026, 9 June 2026, 9 July 2026 and 10 July 2026 in relation to the Proposed SCR.

On behalf of the Board, Berjaya Securities wishes to announce that the Company had on 20 August 2026, via its solicitors, filed a petition to the High Court to obtain an order by the High Court confirming the reduction of the issued share capital of the Company pursuant to Section 116 of the Act to give effect to the Proposed SCR.
