Mr. Ong Han Lin is a finance professional with more than 12 years of experience in corporate finance, financial management and reporting, auditing, strategic planning and regulatory compliance.
He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Hextar Retail Berhad from June 2025 to June 2026, where he oversaw the Group's financial strategy, financial management and reporting, due diligence on potential acquisition and regulatory compliance matters for its retail division.
Prior to this, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Finance Manager of Mestron Holdings Berhad and Mestron Engineering Sdn. Bhd. from August 2021 to May 2025. In these roles, he was responsible for the Group's financial strategy, financial management and reporting, due diligence on potential acquisitions, investor relations and regulatory compliance matters. He also played a key role in the successful transfer of Mestron Holdings Berhad's listing from the ACE Market to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in 2023.
From May 2020 to July 2021, he was a Senior Accountant at Oceaneering Services (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., where he was responsible for overseeing financial reporting, month-end closing activities, and coordinating with external auditors on statutory audit and tax compliance matters.
He was with KPMG PLT from January 2016 to May 2020. He progressed from Audit Associate to Senior Audit Associate and subsequently Audit Assistant Manager. During his tenure, he led audit engagements across various industries, and participating in IPO-related reporting engagements and reporting accountant assignments.
He began his career as an Associate with KS Loke / TML Corporate Services Sdn. Bhd. from July 2013 to November 2015. |
