Chua Choon Kow ("Mr. Frankie") graduated from Massey University, New Zealand with a Bachelor of Technology in Industrial Engineering in 1979.

Mr. Frankie has more than 35 years of extensive experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing, industrial packaging, food production, and corporate management across Malaysia and New Zealand. He began his career as an Industrial Engineer with Sunbeam Electrical, Feltex, and Lam Soon Berhad, where he was actively involved in productivity improvement initiatives, cost optimisation programmes, manufacturing process enhancement, and factory operations management.

He subsequently assumed senior management roles, including Country Manager at Eufintrade Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and Unified Accord (Alcoa) Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., where he was responsible for overseeing overall business operations covering administration, finance, sales and marketing, quality assurance, customer service, and project implementation within the food and beverage packaging industry.

Thereafter, Mr. Frankie served as General Manager of Thong Fook Plastic Industries Sdn. Bhd. (subsequently known as Nordenia Thong Fook), MacFood Sdn. Bhd., and Great Wall Plastic Industries Sdn. Bhd. / GW Packaging Sdn. Bhd. under Scientex Berhad. During his tenure, he led the management of manufacturing operations, operational efficiency enhancement initiatives, industrial packaging solutions, food safety and quality compliance, as well as overall business and factory administration.
