Bumi Armada Berhad ("Bumi Armada"), wishes to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary Armada Jalu B.V. ("AJBV") has signed a Production Sharing Contract ("PSC") with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia for the Jalu Working Area in North Sumatra Basin, Andaman Sea, northeast of Aceh, Indonesia ("Jalu"). AJBV is the operator for the Jalu PSC with a 100% participating interest.
The Jalu PSC covers an area of approximately 3,942.62 sq km with water depths ranging from -100 to -1,250 meters. Directorate General of Oil and Gas in Indonesia (MIGAS) estimates that the gas resources is approximately 2.9 TCF. Bumi Armada's plans are to acquire new 3D seismic and to integrate it with the existing sub-surface data to evaluate the potential for development.
Jalu PSC will be the third operated PSC by Bumi Armada in Indonesia, after Akia PSC and Kojo PSC. Entering this PSC is aligned with Bumi Armada's strategy to develop the oil and gas discoveries by utilising a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) with either a Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) or pipeline. This leverages Bumi Armada's core expertise in providing and operating floating production systems.
The announcement is dated 20 May 2026.
