| Working experience and occupation | YB Dato' Haji Zairi Bin Haji Mat Ali ("YB Dato' Haji Zairi") has more than 30 years of experience in the Malaysian public service. He began his career in 1994 as an Assistant Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Malaysia ("MOF").
Between 1995 and 2001, he served as Project Coordinator at the National Institute of Public Administration ("INTAN"), where he was attached to INTAN Bukit Kiara, INTAN Northern Region ("INTURA") Kedah and INTAN Sarawak ("INTILA").
After completing his postgraduate studies in Japan under a Federal Government scholarship programme, he served as Chief Assistant Secretary at the Budget Division of the MOF from 2004 to 2008. He was subsequently appointed as Director of the Corporate and Research Division at the Road Transport Department Malaysia from 2008 to 2014.
He later served as Deputy Secretary of the Government Procurement Division at the MOF from 2014 to 2021 and as Secretary of the Policy and Management Division at the MOF from 2021 to 2023. In 2023, he was appointed as Senior Secretary of the Development Division at the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
On 19 February 2026, he was appointed as the State Financial Officer of Penang under the Penang State Secretary's Office, a position he currently holds.
YB Dato' Haji Zairi has also served on the boards of several national institutions, including Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, MIMOS Berhad, National Aerospace & Defence Industries Sdn. Bhd. ("NADI") and Pertubuhan Peladang Kebangsaan ("NAFAS"). |

The Company had on 26 March 2026 received a letter dated 18 March 2026 from the State Secretary, Penang, the Special Shareholder of PBA Holdings Bhd. ("Company"), notifying that YB Dato' Haji Zairi bin Haji Mat Ali ("YB Dato' Haji Zairi") was nominated as the Government Appointed Director of the Company pursuant to Regulation 26(2) of the Company Constitution. YB Dato' Haji Zairi's appointment was taken effect from the date of his execution of Declaration By A Person Before Appointment As Director pursuant to Section 201 of the Companies Act 2016, i.e., 1 April 2026. The Board has approved the appointment of YB Dato' Haji Zairi as a Non-Independent and Non-Executive Director of the Company. |
