The Board of Directors of Citaglobal wishes to announce that Citaglobal Telecommunication Sdn Bhd (“CGT”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, had on 23 January 2026 accepted a notification of approval dated 19 January 2026 from MCMC as the universal service provider for the installation and upgrading of network facilities for Wi-Fi connectivity at public higher education institutions, polytechnics, and community colleges and education institutions under the Ministry of Human Resources under the Universal Service Provision initiative (“Relevant Institutions”) (“Project”), with a total approval cost of up to RM48.5 million, inclusive of all applicable taxes, fee or levy (“Contract”).
The scope of the Contract includes, amongst others, the supply, installation, configuration, integration and commissioning of the wireless infrastructure and equipment to deliver seamless Wi-Fi connectivity at the identified locations for the Relevant Institutions, and providing a comprehensive support services package.
The Project shall commence on 23 January 2026 with an 8-month implementation period (“Implementation Period”), followed by a 3-year support and warranty period.
The Contract adopts a build-and-transfer approach, where CGT shall transfer the ownership of the deployed network facilities and infrastructure to the Relevant Institutions 12 months after the Implementation Period.
For information, MCMC had advertised an invitation to register interest and submit a draft universal service plan as a universal service provider for the Project on 11 November 2025 via its website (“Invitation”). Following the Invitation, CGT submitted a draft universal service plan to MCMC on 2 December 2025.
The acceptance of the Contract is in the ordinary course of business of CGT.
The Contract will further increase and enhance the order book of Citaglobal and its subsidiaries (“Group”) to approximately RM1.9 billion, based on the Group’s outstanding order book of RM1.1 billion as at September 2025, and after adding the following contracts:

RM628.0 million Dual-Function Pond for Raw Water Source and Flood Mitigation Project announced by the Company on 13 November 2025;

RM62.4 million UDA Enclave Project announced by the Company on 22 December 2025; and
-
RM20.3 million Labuan Jetty Upgrading Project announced by the Company on 22 December 2025.
The Contract will not have any effect on the issued share capital and the shareholdings of the substantial shareholders of the Company.
The Contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings, earnings per share and net assets of the Group during the Contract period.
The Company does not foresee any exceptional risk other than the normal operational risks associated with the Project. Nevertheless, the Company will take the necessary steps to mitigate the risk as and when it arises.
None of the Directors and major shareholders of the Group and/or persons connected to them has any interest, whether direct or indirect, in the Contract.
Information on the Project
The Project is part of the government’s broader initiative of bridging the digital divide by providing telecommunications and digital communications services to areas that lack telecommunications access, and will be funded via the Universal Service Provision Fund established under Section 204 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and managed by the MCMC.
